Add a passcode to a video

hi everyone,

i’m excited to announce a new privacy setting today - now you can add a passcode to your video!

it’s quite simple — on the video page, viewers will be met with a simple passcode screen. you will not be asked for the passcode as the uploader of the video, so if you would like to test your passcode, please open a private browser window.

on the embedded player, viewers will be asked for the passcode before they can play the video. i’m still experimenting with this behaviour.

to set up a passcode, just edit your video and change the visibility to Passcode to set one up. that’s it! passcodes are not available with bulk actions at this time.

passcodes are shipping today. they are designed for convenience and are available at no charge. as always, thank you to our supporters!
